About The Book

A Portrait of Walt Disney World is an illustrated luxury book about the history and development of the Walt Disney World Resort, published by Disney Editions in 2021, with 320 pages. This volume celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the iconic Florida destination, detailing its evolution from Walt Disney's "Florida Project", influenced by Disneyland and the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair. The work is presented in a Special Edition with an acrylic case, elevating it to the level of one of the most exquisite coffee table books available on the subject.

The book "A Portrait of Walt Disney World" explores the original vision and continuous expansion of the resort, from its opening in 1971 with the Magic Kingdom and themed resorts like Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village, and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Through vibrant voices, concept art, historical photographs, and rare ephemera, the content documents five decades of growth, highlighting perennial themes such as nostalgia, fantasy, discovery, and hope for a better future. This publication is an ideal luxury gift for pop culture enthusiasts, hospitality students, artists, art collectors, and, of course, Disney fans, offering an in-depth look at what made Walt Disney World a pulse of American leisure.

With its rich visual and factual narrative, "A Portrait of Walt Disney World" not only honors a cultural landmark but also establishes itself as a collector's item. The inclusion of an acrylic case underlines its value as a design object and a sophisticated corporate gift, perfect for those seeking pieces that combine history, art, and high-level entertainment.
